In the past we have found that we have been swamped with phone calls, with much too large of a number of telemarketers, and that the fielding of phone calls would require us to employ operators for such which raises our costs which in turn would make us raise the prices that we would have to charge you. By being truly internet based, and primarily communicating by email except in unusual circumstances, we are able to be more efficient and are able keep our prices reasonable. We ask everyone to continue to work with us in this regard so that we can continue to offer you prices that are reasonable. This policy also strikes a blow to telemarketers and helps us all to do better business (that is, without telemarketer interference).

What are Optical Nation’s Shipping Policies?
The time between your order placement and when we ship the item/s out is generally within 1-2 business days (but this is not absolutely guaranteed).

Our shipping choices and the corresponding shipping/handling total charges for each are usually (this is subject to change and upon entering your items in the shopping cart and upon selecting the shipping choice you will see the up to date price to be charged and this is before your final click that commits you to purchasing) the following:

To the lower 48 continental states (does not include Alaska or Hawaii) of the United States we offer our Standard shipping (2-7 business days) option for a charge of $9.99 no matter how many items are selected in any single purchase and generally we use FedEx Ground with Signature Required (you will receive tracking information once your item is shipped so that you can track the progress of the delivery) for this option (note that we may not use FedEx Ground for our Standard shipping option and instead may choose an alternative shipping vendor and/or method as such selections are subject to our choice per our discretion depending on what we feel is the most appropriate choice while taking in account availability of service to your area, timeliness, etc.).

To the lower 48 continental states (does not include Alaska or Hawaii) of the United States we offer our Faster shipping (2-4 business days) option for a charge of $19.99 no matter how many items are selected in any single purchase and generally we use FedEx 2 Day with Signature Required (you will receive tracking information once your item is shipped so that you can track the progress of the delivery) for this option (note that we may not use FedEx 2 Day for our Faster shipping option and instead may choose an alternative shipping vendor and/or method as such selections are subject to our choice per our discretion depending on what we feel is the most appropriate choice while taking in account availability of service to your area, timeliness, etc.).

To the lower 48 continental states (does not include Alaska or Hawaii) of the United States we offer Our Fastest shipping (1-2 business days) option for a charge of $34.99 no matter how many items are selected in any single purchase and generally we use FedEx Overnight with Signature Required (you will receive tracking information once your item is shipped so that you can track the progress of the delivery) for this option (note that we may not use FedEx Overnight for our Fastest shipping option and instead may choose an alternative shipping vendor and/or method as such selections are subject to our choice per our discretion depending on what we feel is the most appropriate choice while taking in account availability of service to your area, timeliness, etc.).

To Alaska or Hawaii we offer our Faster shipping (2-4 business days) option for a charge of $29.99 no matter how many items are selected in any single purchase and generally we use FedEx 2 Day with Signature Required (you will receive tracking information once your item is shipped so that you can track the progress of the delivery) for this option (note that we may not use FedEx 2 Day for our Faster shipping option to Alaska or Hawaii and instead may choose an alternative shipping vendor and/or method as such selections are subject to our choice per our discretion depending on what we feel is the most appropriate choice while taking in account availability of service to your area, timeliness, etc.).

We are very sorry but because a lack of suitable and adequately trackable shipping options, we do NOT currently ship to P.O. Boxes, APO and FPO addresses (such as AP, AE, AA, or FP) nor to United States territories including America Samoa (AS), Guam (GU), Northern Mariana Islands (MP), Puerto Rico (PR), and US Virgin Islands (VI) nor to the associated states of Palau (PW), Micronesia/Federate States (FM), and the Marshall Islands (MH) nor to any foreign countries.

What does Optical Nation consider to be a business day?
Even if we are working, we still depend on FedEx (or other companies such as the United States Postal Service, UPS, etc., when applicable as separately discussed) and all of this, in addition to our own schedule of work days, factors in when we are determining what we consider to be a business day. Currently, we consider a business day to be all days except any Saturday, any Sunday, any Federal Holiday, days when any of the aforementioned shipping organizations are closed (for example sometimes a certain holiday will fall on a weekend and then one of these organizations will close on the following Monday and/or previous Friday in order to observe the holiday on a weekday), and Christmas Eve.

Why can't I place a certain quantity in the quantity box (Qty. box) after I click on the order box for a particular item?
Such occurs when we are out of stock on that particular item or items OR if the quantity placed in the quantity box exceeds the quantity in stock (if you are willing to purchase a lesser quantity than you originally wanted you could try placing a lower quantity in the quantity box but if you are attempting to place only a quantity of 1 in the quantity box and you still are unable to place such quantity that means we are completely out of stock on that item).
